Based on Pulitzer Prize-winning Steven Millhauser’s short story of the same name, Sisterhood is a modern version of the Salem Witch Trials set in the digital abyss of a New York high school. Screenwriter Marilyn Fu received the Creative Promise Award for Best Screenplay at the Tribeca Film Festival. Sisterhood premiered Oct 2014 at the Woodstock Film Festival where it was the Centerpiece Film and awarded the Best Female Director "Juice Award" from Tangerine Entertainment.

Caryn’s thesis film God is Good (2004), written by Dennis Lee, was awarded the New Line Cinema Award for Best Director (Columbia University Film Festival), Kodak Film Grant, Special Jury Prize (USA Film Festival), and was a Narrative Short Finalist in the IFP Market. At the Rhode Island Film Festival, Waechter received First Prize for Editing. She also received Top Prize at the Chinese-American Festival of Film and Culture, where she was flown to China to talk about cultural diversity in American film.
This short film then developed into Dennis Lee’s directorial debut feature film FIREFLIES IN THE GARDEN starring Julia Roberts, Ryan Reynolds, Emily Watson, Willem Dafoe, Carrie-Anne Moss, Ioan Gruffudd and Hayden Panettiere.

Caryn's first short film BEAT (2001), shot guerrilla-style on super 8mm in real underground parties, marked her as a visual director "communicating technically brilliant and emotionally nuanced stories at a visceral level." The film premiered at International Short Film Festival in Clermont-Ferrand, France.
